my first step to create this mask was to mold clay around my head. it kept getting stuck in my hair and stung when i would take it off.

i then added loose clumps of clay and placed them accordingly

i then mixed and brushed on a silicone solution over the clay.

next i poured plaster into the silicone mold, to create a solid copy of the inside of the mask.

i then used a heat press to create a plastic mold of the plaster. the first mask was created, but for my project, i needed 7 more copies.

finally, i used a heat gun to melt and form a failed plastic copy, over the back of my head. i didn't want this mask to exist only in the front, but wanted for the user to be able to fully cover thier head with it. this part burned my ears and face a couple times due to the hot melting plastic, but was so worth it.
a beautiful doubling and filtering effect was created. this mask is meant to blur the users face, and also create an atmosphere inside the mask where you cannot clearly see the world in the same way as before. i am so happy with how this turned out, and the way you can adjust it to the size of your head with the strings. love love love
